Why Don't They FOCUS?

I am so over the lack of ability of our politicians to focus! Instead of getting on with government it's all about "phoney rows" and "fake news".
If they realised that differences can be resolved and decisions can be made IF they sat down just like intelligent human beings and worked on the issues to hand. All of us get distracted, waylaid by "he said, she said (or appeared to say!)", by avoiding the real challenges, by discarding the actual issue.
We do it in our relationships; couples get confused by an argument about putting out the garbage (trash to many of you), squeezing the toothpaste tube instead of working together to build healthy partnerships.
Then we have kids and do we teach them about values - no, we get embroiled on the "little things" -in time on their devices, curfews, homework - if we only set guidelines and showed them the true meaning of what is honestly most important in life such as honesty, trust, integrity, excellence.
Let's go back to our politicians - those we elect to govern our countries - they need guidelines also and we need to know that they are focusing on the values we hold dear.
Forget phoney rows and fake news - focus on the job at hand They were not elected to throw mud at each other. They were elected to govern the country for the benefit of the people.
There is far too much 'I' in leadership instead of 'you'.
